Great location for my trip because of easy access to the university as well as sites downtown. I have visited this hotel intermittently for many years and even though it is a bit dated, it has not declined in quality (it was always a bit of a budget hotel). Some of the same staff has worked here for many years and the front desk people are extremely kind and responsive! :) The security has improved, with keycard access and good key control at the desk. Even though the breakfast choices are somewhat limited, the quality is good and everything is made on request. Always fresh fruit available with option of eggs, toast, potatoes, sausage, juice, tea/coffee, and sometimes sweet potato or arrowroot.

I chose this hotel because I was let down by where I had already booked to stay and I knew Kenya Comfort was in a convenient location away from some of the noise of Nairobi CBD, The staff were polite and efficient. The rooms are not very spacious, but the shower was amazing! There are many places to eat within a short walk of the hotel.

Top notch place for the price. There is a working elevator, warm water all the time, friendly receptionists, location is outstanding in Nairobi, what more could we want. We had an early morning shuttle bus to Arusha and the hotel is located literally 20 seconds from the stop. Many great restaurants in the neighborhood including the pizza place right next to it.

Room was plain and simple but well functional. Very much what you expect when traveling on a budget. Yet, it is very well located in CBD and the hospitality and kindness of the people is exceptional. Had to cut our stay from two nights to one for private reasons, anyhow they managed to charge us only the price for one night, which was really fair. Nice terrace to have a beer also.

The staff was very helpful, including the security guard. They helped me solve the door lock problem by immediately changing the room to a better one. The reception staff was helpful in booking my trip further on.

Do not let the exterior put you off. The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are simple but clean. The staff is just lovely and immensely helpful. I had a wonderful stay.

It is an "old world" type hotel.....where a porter takes you to your room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is central. It is modestly priced and therefore a good value.
